Our origins

Frôté & Partner was created in 1936 in Bienne by the association of Dr. Rudolf Krill and Attorney Kistler, who was later to become a federal judge. Mr. Charles Frôté joined Frôté & Partner in 1946.

This entity has, from the outset, acquired some importance in Bienne because of its activity in all areas of Law and its bilingual nature, its range of activities in the cantons of Bern, Neuchâtel and Solothurn, and a rapidly-developing network of contacts.

Mr. François Frôté joined the Partnership in 1979 followed by Mr. Urs Wüthrich (1987), Mr. Marc Labbé (1990), Mr. Christophe Wagner (1997) and Mr. Max-Olivier Nicolet (1998) also joined as partners, the last-mentioned as a solicitor.

Frôté & Partner(s) currently has a staff of 30, of whom 15 are lawyers.

A second office was opened in Neuchâtel in 2000, followed by a third in Solothurn in 2009.
